Where our flax grows

Most of our linen starts in the fields of northern France and Belgium. Here is why that matters.

Start with the label

Every piece we make carries its own care label, and it is worth reading once. Linen likes cool water and a gentle spin; it does not like a hot dryer.

Let it dry slowly

Hang it in the shade, smooth the seams with your hands and let the creases fall out on their own. If you iron, do it while the fabric is still a little damp.

The second summer is when linen starts to feel like yours.

Store it folded

Fold shirts and trousers loosely on a shelf, away from the sun. Knits always fold; a hanger stretches the shoulders.
